Job Summary

The Director of Specialty Services is responsible for the management, organization, culture and oversight of all administrative, clinical, and service functions of Highland Park, Nuestro Josselyn, Living Room, Crisis and IPS programming.

Essential Responsibilities and Metrics

  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of clinical supervisors and program managers assuring staff compliance with clinical, administrative, and organizational responsibilities including productivity.
  • Monitor the Living Room Program and IPS grant and make sure all objectives are met.
  • Oversees Nuestro Josselyn programming and supervise staff.
  • Work effectively with community resources and participate usefully in community related activities
  • Work effectively with other Directors and interact productively with Executive Team
  • Participate cooperatively in performance improvement activities, committee work, when requested, mandatory in-services, and strategic planning
  • Represent the Center with integrity, abide by the ethical statement of the Center and protect confidentiality
  • Knowledge and operationalization of all agency policies and works with Chief Compliance Officer, Quality Team, and Chief Clinical Officer to prepare for CARF and BALC audits

Qualifications

  • Licensed for independent clinical practice in the State of Illinois in mental health or related field
  • Competence in interdisciplinary and inter-agency collaboration
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive and successful clinical management experience preferable with a non-profit organization
  • Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to think critically and analytically and to problem solve in both short- and long-term contexts
  • An understanding of current thinking in the field of mental health, regarding clinical trends and best practice
  • Must be onsite minimum of four days a week
