Job Summary

The LGBTQIA+ Clinical Coordinator is responsible for developing proposed guidelines and procedures regarding the care of LGBTQIA+ clients. The LGBTQIA+ Clinical Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and facilitating LGBTQIA+ training and consultation for our clinical staff. The LGBTQIA+ Clinical Coordinator is held accountable for all related clinical, administrative, and Quality and Compliance responsibilities.

Essential Responsibilities and Metrics:

LGBTQIA+ Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Develop proposed guidelines and procedures regarding the care of LGBTQIA+ clients
  • Provide individual consultations with staff to address LGBTQIA+ needs
  • Lead a weekly LGBTQIA+ consultation group for staff
  • Provide training opportunities and resources for the agency and during orientation that will help our staff work with and understand the experiences and needs of LGBTQIA+ clients

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Provides Therapy, Counseling and Crisis Intervention to Clients and their Families (Provides high-quality service and maintains direct service hours per month of 50%)
  • Maintains documentation in a timely and quality fashion including IM+CANS, progress notes, calendars in EMR and Outlook.
  • Engages with Josselyn through attendance and participation at clinical presentations, all required meetings, as well as participation in accreditation and certification processes, committee work, strategic planning, and community related services as appropriate
  • Represent the agency with integrity while complying with all policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Clinically related graduate degree LCP/LCPC or LSW/LCSW  
  • 1 year clinical experience  
  • Three professional references that reflect ability to perform clinical work  
  • In good standing with agency’s policies and procedures  
  • No record of disciplinary action  
  • Strong communication skills and a team player
