Job Summary

The clinician is responsible for providing school based interventions which include consultation and education to school personnel and also direct interventions to students. The school based clinician is held accountable for all related clinical, administrative and Quality of Compliance responsibilities.

Essential Responsibilities and Metrics

  • Clinician will collaborate with school support personnel to select appropriate students to receive intervention. Clinician will provide referral and assessment forms for school support members/teachers to complete upon referral for services. Clinician will attend MTSS/multi-disciplinary meetings to provide consultation and assessment for ongoing cases, inform referral processes, or provide guidance on student referrals and school wide SEL supports.
  • Clinician will provide evidence-based group interventions as determined by student needs Clinician will solely lead or co-facilitate groups with school identified staff. Clinician will also conduct individual counseling sessions for students who would benefit from crisis stabilization, brief short-term psychoeducational, suicide or homicidal assessments, or more long-term clinical supports to ensure students develop health habits.
  • Clinician will also partner with schools to develop and facilitate parent workshops that focus on the assessed needs of students and skill development in the home.
  • When appropriate, Josselyn clinicians will support students during disciplinary process by conducting peer-peer mediation, brief counseling and stabilization. Josselyn clinicians will not assign discipline or consult with families regarding discipline incident.

Qualifications

  • Master's related graduate degree in education or social services required
  • Three professional references that reflect ability to perform clinical work
