Job Summary

The Continuing Education Clinical Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and facilitating clinical workshops for clinical staff. Continuing Education Clinical Coordinator is responsible for providing clinical services to children, adolescents, and/or adults, as assigned. The Clinical Coordinator is held accountable for all related clinical, administrative, and Quality and Compliance responsibilities. 

Essential Responsibilities and Metrics

Continuing Education Clinical Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate regular continuing education events. Research/Identify, communicate with and schedule qualified speakers. Promote events. Host events including moderation and IT support
  • Maintain records including those necessary for audits, quality assurance, maintenance of state mandates, timely payment of presenters
  • Deliver CEU materials to staff and ensure recordings, slideshows and other materials are accessible to staff

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive Mental Health Assessments
  • Development, modification, and review of treatment plan
  • Therapy, counseling
  • Crisis intervention
  • Case management
  • Tele-psychiatry support
  • Client centered consultation with community providers
  • Attendance and participation at clinical presentations
  • Use of supervision or consultation when required or needed

Quality and Compliance Responsibilities:

  • Complete Mental Health Assessment within 3 days of face-to-face assessment
  • Complete Treatment Plan within 30 days of completion of the Mental Health Assessment
  • Ensure individual treatment plans are updated and recorded in CIS prior to the six month due date
  • Modify Treatment Plans as appropriate
  • Complete annual mental health assessments timely and update CIS
  • All Progress Notes will be entered into the medical record as soon as possible but in no more than three business days of the date of service
  • Provide timely completion of Level of Care Utilization System (LOCUS) (for adults)
  • Provide timely completion of Columbia and Ohio Scales (for children)
  • Compliance with all Policy and Procedures
  • Assist with quality and compliance initiatives such as chart audits
  • Maintain productivity goals of 50%

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Keep weekly schedule current
  • Be responsive to the business office regarding client fees/payments
  • Complete requests time off in a timely manner through the Program Director
  • Participate in Accreditation and Certification processes as directed
  • Participate in Committee Work as directed
  • Participate in Strategic Planning as appropriate
  • Participate in Community Related Services as appropriate
  • Represent the agency with integrity
  • Provide clinical supervision to student intern

Qualifications

  • Clinically related graduate degree LCP/LCPC or LSW/LCSW 
  • Two years’ clinical experience 
  • Three professional references that reflect ability to perform clinical work 
  • In good standing with agency’s policies and procedures 
  • No record of disciplinary action 
  • Strong communication skills and a team player
  • Be onsite three days a week
